In the summer, Steamboat Resort features a multitude of events. Of course there's the Steamboat Marathon/Half Marathon/10 K, but there's also several other sport and recreation events. These include activities like the Ski Town USA Golf Classic, the Enduro X Bike Race Series where racers descend the mountain over 2000 vertical feet, and the Steamboat Mad Mud Run - a 5k foot race up the mountain and then through challenging obstacles all through tons of mud.

If relaxation is more your style there's plenty of enjoyable Steamboat events and art galleries to take in. In mid June there is the renowned bluegrass and food festival Savor Steamboat. Later in June is Art on the Mountain with a multitude of vendors displaying and selling their works all throughout Gondola Square on the resort.

4th of July weekend features one of the oldest annual events in Colorado - the 110th Annual Cowboys' Roundup Days. This week long celebration features everything imaginable from art events to a rodeo to an Independence Day ski jumping extravaganza!

After this event is the always pleasant Art in the Park festival, where over 150 artists, vendors, live entertainment, and food vendors set up with free admission in West Lincoln Park near downtown. This event finishes with the Balloon Rodeo, a massive hot air balloon festival that fills the skies over Steamboat and the Rockies.

Regardless of your interests, Steamboat Springs has something to offer you year round. Check it out and see for yourself just why Steamboat Springs has the reputation as one of Colorado's best mountain towns.
