Fort Collins is situated on the Cache La Poudre River and alongside the Colorado Front Range. It is the 4th most popular city in Colorado and is home to Colorado State University. With tons of activities and fun things to do, there is something for everyone at all ages. A bit indecisive? Below is an example of a full day of activities in the Fort Collins Area.Start your morning out with some beignets and coffee at the popular creole spot named Lucile’s. Spend the rest of your morning rafting down the rapids of the Poudre River and enjoying the amazing scenery. If it’s raining, go visit the Fort Collins Museum of Art and get lost in the diverse series of exhibitions, events and education programs for adults and children.
Don't forget to visit the beautiful Estes Park. Located a quick hour drive west of Fort Collins, Estes has some of the best hiking and scenery in the state. Don't miss this national wonder.
In the afternoon, go visit one of the many breweries but be sure to drink responsibly and take public transportation to and from the tours. With the kids? Rent a bike and take a ride through the many parks and trails throughout the city.
During the evening, treat yourself to an award-winning destination in downtown called Jay’s Bistro. Enjoy the amazing cuisine accompanied by live jazz. If you still have some energy, make sure to visit the Holiday Twin drive-in movie theatre. These are just a small taste of what Fort Collins has to offer you.
