October Events

The state of Colorado is said to have two seasons. Winter and summer. People simply come to ski in the winter and hike in the summer. Well, this is false. People still come to do those activities, but there really is no off time for Colorado.  October is one of the most beautiful months to visit Colorado and is also a time visitors can take advantage of deals on lodging, restaurants, and other amenities. Not to mention the amazing fall colors, activities and events covering the state. Take a look below at the fun things to be take part in during this gorgeous fall month:

• BEER BEER BEER!!!: If Denver is one of the locations you choose to visit this fall, there is a good chance you will be there during one of the three major beer fests taking place this month.
Denver Oktoberfest – Taking place from September 27th - October 6th this is one of the largest Oktoberfests in the nation. With traditional games, dances and food, you’ll be sure to leave full of beer and good memories.
Denver Beer Fest – Plenty of beer tastings, pairings and music goes on during this beer fest. Make sure to meet the brewers too! October 4th-12th.
Great American Beer Festival – Proclaimed as the largest collection of U.S. Beer ever served in a public tasting, this fest will make you think twice about every other beer festival you attend. October 10th-12th.

• Hunting Season: It is once again hunting season for many wild animals including elk, deer, and small game. If hunting is not your thing, but you want to see some wildlife, make sure to visit Estes Park this October and feast your eye on some true Colorado beauty.

• Ski Season Is Here: Almost. Snow guns have taken place on a few small ski resorts representing the race to open once again. Loveland Ski Area and Arapahoe Basin are always jarring to be able to call themselves the first resort to open in Colorado followed shortly by the larger resorts of Keystone, Copper and Breckenridge.
