Always wanted to participate in a triathlon, but never were able to train? Glenwood Springs' Cruise-a-Thong might be the competition for you. Just like a traditional triathlon participants compete in three events. The first event is a cruiser bike ride around Veltus Park. From there head down the Roaring Fork bike path in flip flops. The last event is a tube float down the Roaring Fork River. And there you have it, your first triathlon!
The Glenwood Springs annual River Float is an easy activity that will transport you from Carbondale to Glenwood Springs. Along the way you’ll learn about issues that affect the river including droughts, water rights and much more. A cookout lunch is included with the trip and children who weigh at least 60 pounds are welcome.
If you are staying in Glenwood Springs in the summer or fall be sure to check out the downtown market. One of the best markets in Colorado, the downtown market is open on Tuesdays from 4PM till dusk. Come find farm fresh produce, crafts, live music and much much more.
Be sure to visit Glenwood Springs and experience these great events!
