Glenwood Springs

Glenwood Springs ColoradoPerched on the side of the Colorado River, Glenwood Springs has been a destination for over a hundred years, with visitors drawn to the hot springs for which it is named.  The Hot Springs pool has been open since the 1880’s, and over the years more and more attractions have built up around it until Glenwood has become a hub of tourism for many more reasons.

Glenwood Hot Springs boasts the largest hot springs pool in the world.  Its rich mineral water has long been considered therapeutic, but even those at the peak of health will enjoy relaxing in the warm, soothing waters.  It's a can't-miss experience for your Glenwood Springs vacation.

For those hoping to immerse themselves in the history of the area, Glenwood offers ample opportunity.  From the opulence of the 120 year old Hotel Colorado to the serene majesty of the Fairy Caves, historic wonders bring the early days of Glenwood Springs to life.  Museums include the Glenwood Railroad Museum and the Frontier Historic Museum, and multiple historic sites and buildings dot the town.  In October, a ghost walk is held in Linwood Cemetery with actors dressed as the ancient pioneers buried there.

Surrounding the town, the natural features of the area offer a variety of outdoor activities from whitewater rafting on the Colorado River to hiking to Hanging Lake.
