Durango’s other winter festival is HoliDazzle in celebration of the holiday shopping season. Local merchants try to outdo each other with window displays, and Santa always makes an appearance.
Durango festivals are also popular during the summer months.
The Durango Bluegrass Meltdown kicks of spring with a three day bonanza of live bluegrass performances on three main stages and array of other performance spaces. Refuel after a night of kicking your heels up to amazing bands by visiting the weekly farmer’s market that runs throughout the warmer months.
More music comes to town with Music in the Mountains, followed by the Durango Railfest and the Durango Cowboy Gathering. Not seeing something to pique your interest? This is just a taste of the diverse calendar of Durango events. No matter when you decide to stay in town, you're sure to find something fun.
Durango also has a thriving arts scene with galleries, performance venues, and museums to suit all tastes. Murals and sculptures are abundant in public spaces, and cultural events simply round out this fun, funky town.
