Horse back riding is one of the principal activities at Sundance Trail. So...put on your boots and head on down to the corral where our experienced wranglers will match you with one of our fine western horses. The horse that best suits your needs will be yours throughout your stay.
Riding instruction is available to all dude ranch guests, from the inexperienced rider to those wishing to improve their skills.
Trail riding is done in small groups led by friendly wranglers who know and love the West. You may choose to participate in whatever type of ride you like. We offer family rides, rides of various gaits from walking to cantering, short rides, longer half-day or all-day rides as well as scenic trips with lunch or breakfast on the trail.
In addition to a complete dude ranch riding program, we offer a lively list of activities including something for everyone in an unstructured atmosphere.
River Rafting
Experienced guides take dude ranch guests on raft trips
ranging from float trips to exceptional white water expeditions
on the Cache La Poudre River.
Resort Golf
This year we are able to offer
our serious golfing guests an opportunity to play at a neighboring
country club
resort golf course here in Red Feather Lakes.
This course is rated as one of the ten best private courses
in Colorado It is unbelievably beautiful!
The country club pro shop will have clubs and shoes available
for rent. Just bring your glove, and a ball or two.
Although golf is not a part of our Dude Ranch activity
schedule, and has a separate charge, we understand that
this is an opportunity that serious golfers will definitely
want to enjoy.

ranch.
