Denver Airports

Probably the best know Denver airport, Denver International Airport is the largest airport in the United States by total area. In 2012, it was the 11th busiest airport in the world, with over 53 million passengers. With its easy to use layout and close proximity to the world famous ski resorts of the Rocky Mountains, DIA is the go to choice for travelers looking to get to the mountains fast.
Along with the widely known DIA, there are some smaller airports in the area that offer an alternative to the busy commercial options. Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield is located between Denver and Boulder and is the closest to downtown Denver. It is home to a large amount of corporate traffic with a close proximity to the Interlocken business district.
Centennial Airport is another smaller public use airport located just southeast of Denver in Arapahoe County. It is located in Dove Valley and just 17 miles from the central business district of Denver, which allows business travelers to reach the city without having to deal with the larger, busier DIA.
From any of the many options, it is easy to head downtown to check into your Denver hotel or venture straight to a fun Denver activity.
The Denver area has a few different options when it comes to air travel. From the larger international airports to the smaller, more private air fields of the surrounding area, you have choices when flying into Denver.
