Visitors can take in a Colorado Rockies baseball game in the summer at Coors Field, a Denver Broncos game in fall at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, or the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche at the Pepsi Center during the winter. Even when the teams are away, these venues make great sightseeing destinations and frequently offer tours.  Denver is also home to professional soccer and lacrosse.

For those visiting with families, take a day trip with the children to explore the Denver Zoo, the Children’s museum, the downtown aquarium, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, or the Butterfly Pavilion. For the adventurous family be sure to visit one of Denver's many amusement parks, including Elitch Gardens, Six Flags, or Water World.

Art galleries and museums are abundant and vary dramatically in style while live performances range from theatrical productions to concerts.  The Colorado Convention Center, the Denver Coliseum, and numerous other venues host assorted events and festivals.

In addition to all the activities that exist in Denver there are also many ventures within a short driving distance of Denver. Rafting, zip lining, horseback riding and fishing are just some of the activities waiting just outside of the city.  During the winter months, many Denver locals and visitors travel to the ski resorts within driving distance of the city.

Those hoping to explore the city at their own pace can enjoy wandering Lower Downtown (Lodo) or shopping the 16th Street Mall.
