Known to locals as the “Napa Valley of Beer” the Denver Beer Triangle is the area between Boulder, Fort Collins and Denver. There are a number of breweries and brewpubs inside of this triangle that have become well known for their great tasting ales, stouts, porters, and more. Some notable breweries that can be found in the triangle are New Belgium, Anheuser Busch, Millercoors, Oskar Brewery, Odell Brewing Co., Avery Brewing Co., and the Boulder Beer Company. With so many amazing breweries in the area, it only seems right to host an annual beer fest in Denver every year to commend all of the amazing beers and their brewers.
The Denver Beer Fest will take place from October 4th until October 12th and will host a number of events building up to the grand finally during the final weekend. One activity you should not to miss is the “Zip and Sip” package put on by AVA Mountain Top Zipline and Tommyknockers Brewery out of Idaho Springs. Get your adrenaline pumping by zipping down 6 different ziplines before heading over to the brewery for some free samples and a brewery tour. This is just one example of the many opportunities visitors will have to participate in brewery tours, games, samples, and everything else beer until it’s time to party at the Great American Beer Festival. Taking place from the 10th-12th, the GABF hosts over 3,000 beers and is forecasted to break the record for number of beer tastings in history. This already sold out event is sure to amaze and should not be missed by anyone who calls themselves a beer lover.
This annual celebration of beer rivals some of the best beer fests in the world and is one that should not be missed. Head on down to Denver where more beer is produced than any other urban region in America!
