Colorado Springs Activities

Colorado Springs Colorado ActivitiesColorado Springs has all the charm of a small town but is the second most populous city in the state. Originally a small mining town it is now home to one of three US Olympic Training Centers and the US Air Force Academy.

Colorado Springs draws visitors from all over to see dramatic landmarks, national monuments, and attractions such as Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cave of the Winds or one of our country’s most well known mountains, Pike’s Peak, whose majestic beauty was the inspiration for Katherine Lee Bates “America the Beautiful”.

For those who enjoy the arts, there are several fine art galleries and museums such as Cripple Creek District Museum which is full of gold rush history. Venues for live music and performances are also found throughout the city with styles and genres to fit all tastes.

Old historic downtown is a must for those who want to shop and dine, while visitors looking for more adventurous Colorado Springs activities can opt for one of the many excursions that abound ranging from hikes, to hot air balloon rides and zip line tours.
