Steamboat Ski area is in Ski Town USA in Steamboat Springs in northwest Colorado. Just 155 miles from Denver and DIA. Steamboat is also serviced by the Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Hayden located in Hayden Colorado. This town has produced more Olympic ski team members than any other city in the U.S. Steamboats friendly local hospitality and champagne powder assures an incredible and very memorable ski vacation.

Steamboat has a definite Western atmosphere. Jeans and cowboy hats are the main dress, so leave the heels and ties at home. It is one of Colorado resorts where, when you look from the mountain top, you can see more ranch lands than condos. It is, in fact, primarily ranch country with a beautiful ski resort set down in the middle of it.

Steamboat is spread out over a large area, with 141 trails,2,939 ski able acres,3,668 vertical drop (feet) and 20 lifts 4 of which are high-speed. Why not is the longest run at 3 miles long. The average snowfall is 300 inches, considerably more than other resorts.

Snowboarding, snow cat and Nordic skiing and snowshoeing are also available.Steambaot has one of the best child care centers along with excellent kids ski program.
