Nestled in National Forest land just south of the town of Aspen, the Maroon Bells are renowned for their majesty and rugged beauty.  Billed as the most photographed spot in the United States, a visit to the Maroon Bells almost guarantees a fantastic photo-op.  The 14,000 foot peaks can be hiked, as well.

The Flatirons

Arguably the most widely recognizable feature in Boulder, the Flatirons are a set of five large rock formations along the east slope of Green Mountain. There are many hikes and sections for rock climbing on them. Located within the City of Boulder Open Space, this is one natural Colorado landmark that is a must see.
