Celebrating over 100 years, Strawberry Days celebrates the humble strawberry with a carnival, a parade, a fine art show, a pageant, live music and plenty of free strawberries.  This family-friendly June event lasts for three days and continues to entertain visitors and locals as it has since 1898.

Founded with the goal of promoting and preserving bluegrass music in the American Southwest, the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown offers performances in five Durango venues ranging from the Henry Strater Theatre to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum.  Their lineup includes over 25 bluegrass bands and musicians.  The Meltdown takes place every April over three days, so don't miss out!

Started in 1951, Wintersköl is literally Aspen's "toast to winter".  The four-day festival celebrates all that is winter in Colorado with snow sculptures, a dog fashion show, a soup competition (Soupsköl), fireworks, a parade, live music, and more.  If you're trying to add some winter fun to your ski vacation, plan your trip to coincide with Wintersköl and toast winter!

Breckenridge Mountain Arts Festivals

Three times a summer, Breckenridge hosts the Mountain Arts Festivals, showing artists from around Colorado and the rest of the country.  Media range from sculpture and wood carvings to oil paintings and water colors, not to mention ceramics, fiber, glass and more.  The festivals take place over the Fourth of July, the last weekend in July, and Labor Day weekend.
