Van Camp Cabins are located a short drive south of Steamboat Springs on the Flat Tops Scenic & Historic Byway and are open all year for your enjoyment. Hiking, fishing, mountain biking, rafting, hunting, x-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling are only minutes from your door. Be sure and don't miss the famous champagne powder of Steamboat only 30 miles away!

Monty and Susan Younglund have restored this historic property and renovated the original cabin. The other five cabins are newly handcrafted, but no less charming. Now you can relax in the hot tub and sauna and drift off to sleep in heavenly feather beds.

In days gone by, the stage coach, on route to Steamboat Springs, stopped in Yampa to offer weary travelers a respite from a jarring and dusty journey. Today, visitors have the opportunity to find out why Yampa has been a peaceful vacation spot for over 100 years.
Custom made log furniture and hand made quilts are part of the cozy atmosphere. Chandeliers made from antlers and wood stoves complete the accommodations.
Don't expect a telephone, TV, or running water in the cabins. The decor is authentic pioneer rustic. A modern bathhouse with hot showers, a sauna and a hot tub allow you to experience the past in modern comfort. We have outdoor cooking facilities with gas grills and picnic tables. The Town of Yampa has two restaurants for your convenience.

Zane Grey, visiting in the mid 1900's, wrote "...Yampa has the charm of being old and forgotten, and for that reason I would like to live there awhile."
