The Art on the Ark art show and silent auction is held every spring in conjunction with the Colorado Kayak Supply (CKS) Paddlefest, both of which are major attractions for visitors from around the region. River-themed and landscape art is displayed and bid on in a silent auction benefitting the local Boys and Girls Club of Buena Vista.
If you are looking for a little more activity to fill your day, the town holds a Bike Festival every summer in the month of June. During this laid back Buena Vista festival, there are different bike rides for all levels and abilities.
Buena Vista also holds an annual 4th of July celebration. With sales around town, lots of activities for the kids, and fireworks at dusk, it is sure to be a day to remember.
On Halloween, Main Street turns into a family friendly, kid haven for trick-or-treating. All of the stores give out goodies and the whole town comes out to celebrate.
