Keystone was founded in 1970 by Max and Edna Decrum. Offering 3,148 skiable acres, it is the largest mountain in Summit County. Not only is Keystone amazing for skiing and snowboarding during the day, but it has the largest night skiing operation available in Colorado.  Keystone offers a couple of terrain parks and offers the only park that is open at night.
While most people come to ski, there are also plenty of other activities available. Keystone is the host to one of the largest outdoor ice rinks in Colorado. The rink is 5 full acres! For a rush, tubing in Keystone is steep and long. The tubing hill is sure to make a memorial impact on your trip. Keystone Adventure Tours offers a heated snow cat tour. They will take you above the tree line for an indescribable view of Keystone. If you choose, you can go on a full day guided tour into Independence Bowl. The guides will show you the best runs in Keystone and provided a delicious lunch in the warming hut. The tour is something that should not be missed and will be the experience of a lifetime.
Today, Keystone is seven miles long and spans over three mountains. It is not just good for the winter, but in the summer as well. There are two great golf courses, horseback riding, mountain biking, and much more. Not only is Keystone a great place to visit, but its location is central to other great areas in Summit County and you will have the time of your life!
