Breckenridge Festivals

Breckenridge Festivals Ullr FestYou'll find no shortage of fun festivals during your Breckenridge vacation.  No matter what season you visit, there's always something going on, and it's usually in easy walking distance from Main Street or a short gondola ride to festivals on the ski slopes.

Winter visitors will be amazed by all of the events that happen in the snow.  Things start to heat up with Ullr Fest in January - an homage to the Norse god of snow, Ullr Fest is jam-packed with quirky events and enthusiastic locals and visitors.

The festivities continue with the International Snow Sculpture Championships, and Breck's Mardi Gras, which includes a parade down Main Street and the Mardi Gras Ball, complete with costumes.  Finally, in March, it's time for Spring Fever, Breckenridge's celebration of spring skiing, spring break, and long sunny days filled with outdoor activities.

As the months turn warmer, it's time for summer festivals like Kingdom Days, which celebrates Breck's mining history.  Just a few weeks later, July 4th festivities get under way, and throughout the summer the Breckenridge arts festival takes place, keeping the event calendar filled.  The Breckenridge art festival is major draw for both artists and art enthusiasts.

The annual biking festival, Breck Bike Week, is complemented by a stop on the USA Pro Cycling Challenge.

For those seeking to imbibe, there are two annual Breckenridge Beer Festivals, a Breckenridge Craft Spirit Festival, and in September, Oktoberfest.
