Located off interstate 70 just an hour and forty minutes from downtown Denver, Copper Mountain resort offers world class skiing on 2,465 acres. Copper naturally divided terrain allows beginning skiers and snowboarders to enjoy milder terrain without worry about finding themselves on an expert run, while more advanced snowsports enthusiasts can enjoy expert terrain and bowl skiing, including free cat skiing on Tucker Mountain. Copper boasts 22 chairs and 126 marked trails and is typically open from early November through mid-April. Rentals for skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing and snowbiking are available at assorted shops in the base area, and both private and group lessons can be reserved.
Copper three distinct villages provide a range of dining, shopping and nightlife options. Almost all of the lodging at Copper is within easy walking distance of the lift with many ski-in, ski-out facilities available. Snow tubing, sleigh rides, snowshoe tours, spa facilities offer plenty of ways to stay busy off the slopes. For those looking to hone their terrain park skills, Woodward at Copper provides an indoor training facility with park features, foam pits, trampolines, and more. Coaching is available to those seeking additional instruction.
