Just west of the city of Boulder are the famed Flatirons. The Flatirons are five rock formations where many climbers and hikers alike gather. A beautiful, natural formation, the Flatirons are recognized as the universal symbol to Boulder and are a definite must-see while visiting the city. If rock climbing is your fancy, Boulder is the place to be. One of the more famed rock climbing sections in the world is located in Eldorado Canyon, just 6 miles south of Boulder.
Culture is abound on the notorious Pearl Street, located right in the center of Boulder. Numerous shops, restaurants, concert venues, nightlife, and others are located right on Pearl St. or on the various intersecting streets, making it a great destination for a Boulder vacation
Boulder also has a range of events. One of the biggest weekends of the year in Boulder is Memorial Day, when the “Bolder Boulder” and “Boulder Creek Festival” take place. The Bolder Boulder is a 10K race on monday of Memorial day weekend and attracts over 50,000 participants. The Boulder Creek Festival is a free festival featuring live music, food and craft vendors and activities for children and adults alike.
