Oktoberfest Around the State

It’s the middle of September which can only mean one thing; it’s time for Oktoberfest (I know, weird)! Over the course of history, the original Oktoberfest that takes place in Munich, Germany has moved into the month of September in order to capitalize on better weather. Now that just about every major city and town in America hosts their own version of Oktoberfest, it is not uncommon to find them taking place throughout the entire fall season.

Colorado is a state that is known for two seasons; winter and summer. Fall and spring don’t receive their due diligence because of the uniqueness of the high elevation climate.  With that said, there are still tons of activities to participate in even though we are outside of Colorado’s two peak seasons. Take a look at all the fun being had this September:

USA Pro Cycling Challenge Recap

The USA Pro Cycling Challenge has come and gone for the 3rd straight year and has again proven to be one of the elite bike races in the world. Traveling through the historic mining and ski towns of Colorado, the Challenge lasted seven days forcing racers to ride a total of 598.7 miles. This race is truly a site to see, so if you are visiting Colorado next August make sure to check it out!

Spending a Day in Fort Collins

Fort Collins is situated on the Cache La Poudre River and alongside the Colorado Front Range.  It is the 4th most popular city in Colorado and is home to Colorado State University.  With tons of activities and fun things to do, there is something for everyone at all ages.  A bit indecisive? Breckenridge Ski Resort Expands to Peak 6

Breckenridge Peak 6 SkiingBreckenridge Ski Resort is working hard to get Peak 6 ready for the 2013-14 season.  The expansion will add 543 acres of skiing and snowboarding, with 400 acres serviced by lift and the remaining area considered "hike-to" terrain.
