Aspen Transportation & Views

Aspen Colorado TransportationLocated in the center of the state of Colorado, there are numerous ways to get to your Aspen vacation.  Visitors living relatively close may choose to drive, taking Interstate 70 to Highway 82.  Most travelers prefer to fly, however.

Getting to Aspen from Denver International Airport, Eagle County Airport, Grand Junction Walker Field Airport or Aspen’s Sardy Field is simple.

Visitors can rent a car, truck or 4-Wheel Drive SUV with optional ski racks.  Renting a vehicle gives you the freedom to explore the areas many attractions on your own schedule and see the local sights just outside of town.

As an alternative, sit back and relax in a privately chauffeured 4X4 SUV limousine with non-stop door to door service.  Shared shuttle services also depart at regular intervals from all airports.

Once in town, you may decide that you don’t need a car with the convenient and free skier shuttle service and in-town bus service. If you are staying right in town, walking is always a good alternative in this pedestrian friendly community filled with large sidewalks and outdoor malls. If you plan to focus on skiing, a slopeside resort option may also mean you can skip renting a car.

As another option, rental bikes are a fun eco-friendly way to get around for those who want to join the locals' common mode of transportation.
