When planning a mountain getaway to Aspen, the first thing you will notice is it is one of America’s highest end ski towns when it comes to lodging. With a little research however, you’ll quickly find accommodations for all tastes, needs, and budgets.

For those seeking high end accommodations, Aspen has everything to suit your needs.  Aspen luxury hotels will allow you to choose from spacious rooms and suites, a vast array of accommodations, immaculate design, close proximity to local attractions, and superior service.

There are also private condos to rent at many Aspen hotels that will provide a more comfortable, home-like feel. Most are equipped with fireplaces and Jacuzzis that will invite you to relax after a long day of skiing or shopping.  Many are also equipped with kitchens or kitchenettes so you won’t have to dine out each night.

There are several Aspen motels and hotels in the downtown area. Staying downtown will give you immediate access to many of the world famous shops and restaurants in Aspen as well as the many events that take place throughout the year. The city has a transportation system to get you to and from the mountain every day or rent a bike during the warmer months to explore the city at your own pace.

Aspen does not have the usual chain style hotels that many travelers are used to finding. There is no Super 8 or Best Western within the city. To find those types of places to stay, you can choose to travel 30 minutes away to Glenwood Springs or Carbondale. Travelers who choose this option can end up saving quite a bit of money, but you will have to drive or catch the local bus to reach the ski resorts.

There are also a variety of places to stay in town that will not max out the budget on your stay. There are a number of lodges that provide close proximity to the town and mountains. With heated pools to relax by and posh mountain-view rooms, it will feel more like a 5 star hotel, and you'll have money left over for activities and fun.

With world class skiing and snowboarding during the winter and beautiful weather and a variety of festivals in the summer months, there is always something to do in Aspen. Though it is known for its posh style, there are plenty of places to stay that will fit your needs.
