Performing Arts

Colorado performing arts are diverse and can be found in cities and towns across the state, whether you are looking for comedy, theater, music or dance.  The most variety can be found in cities like Denver and Boulder or Colorado Springs, but many mountain towns like Vail and Aspen also have a thriving performing arts scene.

There are multiple tiny playhouses that specialize in open-mic nights and dinner shows and murder mystery shows.  Many shows will start at one end of the state in Fort Collins or Denver and travel through the mountains to finish up in Glenwood Springs or Durango, which means even many smaller venues can host national and international acts.

Stand-up comics have been travelling through Colorado for the last few years as well. Recent comics who have travelled through the area have included Chris Kattan and Jon Lovitz of Saturday Night Live fame, Bob Saget, and others.
